Client: Naturalia A.C, Altruistads | Year: 2025

Naturalia

Social media campaign with the aim to invite a Gen Z audience to become recurring patrons of Naturalia A.C. The donations towards this NGO are channeled into the protection of natural reserves, reforestation, research and environmental education.

The main platform for sharing the pieces was Instagram; Naturalia also has a strong presence on Facebook, therefore this platform was also used. Advice on using TikTok was given in order to reach its target audience (however, Naturalia does not use the platform).

The requested topics for the pieces were:
  • The relationship between jaguars and water conservancy
  • The impact of private reserves on the protection of biodiversity
  • Scientific research done by Naturalia A.C.
  • Activities that promote an environmental education and its impact on local communities

The project was done through Altruistads, a platform that matches activist causes and creatives. There is a blog entry on the work done with Naturalia.

Project steps:
1. Brief, definition of main objectives
2. Research, brainstorm
3. Color palette inspired by the colors found in the landscape of Sonora
4. Definition of the communication pillars for the pieces within this campaign
5. Sketches
6. Research on influencers that could work with Naturalia
7. Meeting with client
8. Watercolor illustrations with special emphasis on the water use (re-use), lettering on pencils for the titles
9. Digital edition and composition
10. Animation

The client was presented with the final pieces. Once approved, they were incorporated into Naturalia’s communication calendar.

In addition to the requested work, two extra pieces were delivered within the campaign’s aesthetic: What’s your Mayan sign? and What species are you today?, two posts with a playful character and strong potential for engagement.
