Architecture collective in Mexico City that promotes collaboration between architecture studios.
In April 2022, I photographed material samples for J92, building in construction by the architecture collective Taller Abierto de Arquitectura y Urbanismo for SEDATU.
This was done as part of the documentation of the design and architecture process; the photographs were to be included in a book showing the building’s construction process.
However, the project was paused and the book was not published.
My approach in these photographs was to highlight the materials in an aesthetic way, without losing emphasis on the organic matter and the experimental nature of design that was constantly transmitted by the architects during their process.
